10 Must-Visit Vintage Shops in Orlando

The vintage clothing market grows as each day passes. More and more people are beginning to open their eyes to how unique the items can be, the environmental benefits of slow fashion, and the superior construction of the garments. It’s worth mentioning that these items have all withstood the test of time, with the garments being a minimum of twenty years old at this point, and they still have plenty of life left in them. How often do you buy something new from your typical mall store only to be disappointed when it starts falling apart three washes later? Or how everyone and their mother (oftentimes, quite literally) have the same exact piece?

Orlando has a great selection of brick and mortar shops that you can visit on just about any given day and find something amazing. I’ve compiled a list of shops in the immediate Orlando area that are an absolute must-do. Some of these shops even have multiple vintage vendors under one roof, which is amazing because you can basically shop multiple stores in one visit.

Whether you’re shopping for items for your everyday wardrobe or a piece for a special occasion, regardless of your preferred price range or personal style, there is absolutely something out there for everyone. If you look at every shop on this list, each one has its own style, its own vibe. If you have a very steadfast personal style that doesn’t stray, you know exactly where to go. If your style changes from day to day, the options really are limitless. As always, just have fun with it.

Bonus Tip: If you’re new to vintage, sometimes people use thrift/secondhand/resale and vintage interchangeably. While there isn’t anything fundamentally wrong with this, there is in fact a bit of a difference. Vintage clothing signifies a certain age-range of each piece, the general rule being items 20-100 years old. Thrift/Secondhand/Resale shops sell pre-loved items of any age. So while these stores absolutely sell vintage items in their mix, not all will be vintage. In short, all secondhand items are not vintage but (almost) all vintage is secondhand.

That said, there are a couple of noteworthy resale shops in the area that should not be overlooked because while they’re not necessarily known for vintage, they regularly carry great vintage pieces as well.
