Visiting The Orlando Cat Cafe
Clermont, Florida is west of Orlando and about forty minutes from College Park. In a cute walkable area of shops and restaurants called Cagan Crossings Town Center, is the Orlando Cat Cafe. It’s partner is Axom Coffee which is some delicious coffee and yummy baked treats.
We took a walk through the cat room and got to hang out in the kitten tent. I had a couple favorites, but all of the cats and kittens are unique personalities. Grab a coffee and treat and buy your ticket at the Axom coffee counter, then go hangout with these adoptable friends.
Things to know Before you go:
Make a reservation online to be sure of your spot. Cost is $8 for an adult, and $4 for children under 12, per hour.
Wash your hands. Wash your hands before entering the Cat Room. Be sure to sanitize before and after playing with the kittens. Their tiny immune systems can’t always handle germs from the bigger cats. And then wash your hands afterward. Just always wash your hands and the world will be a better place.
Don’t pick up the cats. They will quite literally choose you, crawl all over you, and wander up into your lap for petting. It’s truly adorable.
Check out the bulletin board with names and details about all the cats in the Cat Cafe.
The cost is $150 for kitten adoption and $100 for cat adoption.
Sign the visitor’s book. Be sure to tell the Cat Cafe how much you love and appreciate them. This is such a unique place, they’d love to hear how much you enjoyed your visit. Consider giving them a review on Facebook or Google to help spread the word.
Take lots of photos and videos and be sure to use #OrlandoCatCafe and @OrlandoCatCafe in your posts on social media.
